Since we opened our doors in 2017, the Inspyr family has been committed to putting our strength, power, and kindness to work in the service of our community. Consequently, fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and outreach efforts have become as much a part of our identity as sweat and high fives.

Our Community

Since December 2018, our Inspyr community has joyfully donated hundreds of gifts, including toys, clothes, and bikes, to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, ensuring families and children enjoy a delightful holiday experience. Excitingly, we’re not stopping anytime soon! This beloved tradition of spreading holiday cheer is here to stay for many years ahead. So, let’s keep this holiday season about giving and sharing, furthering our heartfelt gift of community support.

Our Dog Yoga classes were held to benefit local animal shelters. To date, we have supported the following organizations::

  • Young at Heart, Senior Adoption Center  |   Woodstock, IL
  • The Buddy Foundation  |  Arlington Heights, IL
  • Fetching Tails Foundation  |  Itasca, IL

Inspyr and our wonderful members raised $4,318.00 for BrainUp, a remarkable organization battling brain cancer, through our fun-filled “Train for the Brain” fundraiser. Participants enjoyed our “Dual Crossover” class, bought raffle tickets, snagged t-shirts, and danced to DJ James’ beats. We’re ecstatic about our contribution to such a noble cause and extend a massive thank you to all who supported us. You’re the real MVPs!

In 2018, the Inspyr team leaped into an adventure by joining the Salute 5K race, which brought thrills and, more importantly, purpose, as we supported SALUTE, INC., aiding injured military personnel and their families. Our enthusiasm and commitment to the cause were rewarded; not only did we clinch the “Participation and Most Valuable Team” trophy that year, but we also repeated this achievement in the following edition. Winning was exciting, yet the heart of our fulfillment lay in knowing our race proceeds provided continual support to a noble mission. Such meaningful engagement sparked a banner of unity and ambition to contribute to a cause greater than ourselves, making the experience unforgettable.

We are thrilled to announce our support for “Pride Month” and sexual diversity by organizing Pride Rydes throughout the month of June. Previously, Inspyr agreed to match all donations made by members, up to $500, which was then generously donated to “The Center On Halsted”. This center stands as the most comprehensive community center in the Midwest, dedicated to advancing community support and securing the health and well-being of the LGBTQ people of Chicagoland.

“Simply From The Heart” is an organization that provides makeovers to seriously ill patients in hospitals across the nation. In June 2019, Inspyr undertook the initiative to collect monetary donations and makeover products such as hairbrushes, hairspray, bows, nail polish, etc., to support this noble cause. Subsequently, a fundraising “ryde” was organized on June 29th, aimed specifically at raising funds for this organization. As a result of these efforts, we were able to donate numerous products and contribute a total of $445.00 towards supporting this cause.

Inspyr Studios teamed up with The Longest Day Alzheimer’s Association to host a fun and exciting fundraiser called “Train For The Brain”! Specifically, on September 24, 2022, the event brought together people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a thrilling strength and cycling class. Importantly, the best part was that all proceeds went directly to The Longest Day Alzheimer’s Association to help them combat the darkness of Alzheimer’s Disease. The event turned out to be a total blast, featuring Inspyr’s signature 60-minute strength and cycling classes. Consequently, we raised a whopping $1,326.00! Ultimately, it was truly a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Inspyr Studios and the Amita Health Cancer Institute teamed up to raise funds for The Mary R. Faraci Boutique, which provides essential support like hair replacement, post-surgical garments, and prostheses for women who can’t afford these products. The event, dubbed “InspYring Awareness,” focused on having a blast while supporting this vital cause. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to participate in Inspyr’s signature Crossover class, a 60-minute hybrid workout that cleverly combines strength and Pilates, as well as a cycling workout. Over the years, these events have been enormously successful, raising significant funds for The Mary R. Faraci Boutique, thereby making a substantial impact on the lives of many.

Check out what the Inspyr family achieved – we collected over 850 books for Bernie’s Book Drive! This fantastic organization offers books to children in the Chicagoland area, and we’re thrilled to have exceeded our original goal. We love spreading joy in our community, and it feels great to help out with more than just fitness.

In September 2023 and subsequently in October 2019, members of Inspyr attended fundraisers for Gerry’s Cafe. Specifically, Gerry’s Cafe is an organization that operates a community destination cafe, offering craft food and beverages prepared and served by employees who are 22 years old and above, and possess intellectual and developmental disabilities. Initially, in September, our Inspyr coaches participated in a dunk-tank event to raise money for the restaurant. Following this, in October, we organized a Ryde event, with all proceeds going towards supporting the restaurant.

As the Head Strength Coach and Head of Strength Programming, Collin combines his extensive knowledge of human movement with cutting-edge training techniques to develop programs that optimize strength, power, and overall functional performance. His commitment to excellence and individualized approach has made him a trusted leader in strength and conditioning.

Furthermore, when she’s not leading a class, Kristin and her family enjoy visiting botanic gardens on their travels or cheering for the Cubs. Chase specializes in a wide range of fitness disciplines, including group training for both the general population and athletes, as well as strength and conditioning and personal training. Before embarking on his current path, he dedicated four years as the strength and conditioning coach at Illinois Wesleyan University. Following this tenure, motivated by a desire to grow professionally and a longing for familiar surroundings, Chase returned to his hometown of Mount Prospect to advance his career in fitness. This move not only marked a significant transition in his professional journey but also underscored his commitment to enhancing physical fitness and well-being in his community.

Holly discovered her love of cycling after her first mountain biking excursion in West Virginia. Subsequently, while in graduate school, she earned her cycling certification and began teaching at Auburn University in Alabama. After obtaining her PhD in neuroscience, she moved to NYC, where she learned how to balance her love of science and fitness. Consequently, she worked during the day at Columbia University and taught cycling classes in the evenings at local boutique studios in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Recently, Holly started her own laboratory as an Assistant Professor in North Chicago (RFUMS/Chicago Medical School) and is excited to continue her cycling career in the windy city. Additionally, Holly is an avid runner and triathlete, having completed 5 half marathons, the NYC marathon, and 2 triathlons. For Holly, movement is therapy, illustrating how her passion for physical activity complements her scientific career and personal well-being.

Carla is a classically trained dancer, choreographer and ACE certified fitness instructor originally from Arlington Heights, Illinois. She received her BFA in Dance from Western Michigan University in 2016, and while there represented the university as featured dancer during the National American College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. After graduation she lived abroad teaching dance in Panama, Brazil, and China.

Carla has performed in music videos, fashion shows and other events for respected brands including Budweiser, Moschino, lululemon and BeLLe, but her true passion is her work in our studio. She is featured on FITURE, China’s leading fitness mirror which recently launched in China and in the USA. Carla is honored to be recognized as a lululemon ambassador and was recently seen as a featured model in their Asia-wide International Yoga Day 2020 campaign. She is very excited to join the fitness professionals at Inspyr to teach cycle & specialty classes at a studio in her hometown!

Carla Mae’s ultimate goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle while incouraging her students to reach their highest potential through movement. She believes all is possible with a good attitude and a little self confidence!

I fell in love with the mental and physical gratification I felt after each workout.  Years later, becoming a certified fitness professional, I am committed to delivering dynamic education and training that support development and enhance health and fitness. I possess the unparalleled ability to assess the needs of diverse groups and sustain a compelling learning environment for all fitness levels. During each one of my classes, I bring 20 years of combined fitness experience and knowledge, both professionally and personally. My classes focus on the smaller accessory muscles.  I will teach you how to shift your focus, activating and challenging the smaller muscles creating a long and lean look.  Consistency is key with my classes.  By adding simple, barre and pilates techniques, along with an adequate amount of strength, my classes will teach you how to tighten your muscles getting rid of excess body fat in all the wrong places. Over 15 years ago, Stephanie fell in love with cycle classes and, inspired by her instructors, became certified to coach. What started as a hobby quickly became her passion, evident in the energy she brings to every class. Stephanie’s love for music deeply influences her teaching, as she spends considerable time each week perfecting her class playlists, constantly tweaking them to create the perfect vibe. She believes cycling and music offer unmatched joy, a belief she balances with her demanding career in law enforcement. Coaching spin has become a crucial mental health outlet for her. If you see Stephanie doing elbow drops and push-ups in traffic, know it’s just her way of crafting the ultimate playlist!

Stephanie started taking cycle classes over 15 years ago and absolutely loved them!  A few years back, one of her instructors told her that she would be good at coaching so she decided to get certified.  Coaching classes soon became a hobby and her passion and it shows in every class she teaches and takes. Stephanie loves music and dedicates an absurd amount of time creating her playlist each week.  Once finalized she changes it and then changes it again!  She believes you can be having the worst day but once you get on the bike and that music starts – it is the best outlet for instant happiness! Stephanie has a high stress career in law enforcement and coaching spin in her spare time does wonders for her mental well-being.  Stephanie also wants you to know that if you end up being in the car next to her in traffic and you see her doing elbow drops and push-ups while driving, just know it’s part of her regular playlist-making routine!
