Inspyr Studios is proud to host a special Mental Health Awareness event on Saturday, May 24, featuring Kris Salyards, Executive Director of The Bridge Youth & Family Services and the Mental Health Minute Podcast host. This free, community-focused lecture invites attendees to explore emotional wellness, stress management, and the deep connection between mental and physical health.

This is more than an educational talk—it’s a space for honest conversation and practical tools. Whether you want to improve your mental health, support someone else, or just be part of the dialogue, you’ll leave with a renewed sense of clarity and connection.

What You’ll Gain from This Mental Health Event

Kris brings more than clinical expertise to the conversation—he brings a human, grounded presence. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Executive Director, he leads The Bridge’s efforts to deliver responsive, trauma-informed care to youth and families across six northwest suburban townships. His focus on collaboration and program development has helped grow the organization’s impact over the past three years.

During the lecture, Kris will share insights drawn from both professional experience and his podcast, Mental Health Minute, which features stories and interviews that aim to normalize conversations around mental health. Attendees can expect to hear about everyday challenges—stress, burnout, anxiety—and learn strategies to navigate them in healthy, sustainable ways.

The Bridge’s Legacy in Community Mental Health

For over 60 years, The Bridge has served as a trusted mental health resource for youth ages 0–21 and their families. Known for its commitment to relationship-building, emotional wellness, and future-focused care, the organization provides a wide range of services, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems support, and play therapy. Under Kris’s leadership, The Bridge continues to expand its mission through cross-sector partnerships and a focus on equity, access, and impact.

His work reflects the same values that drive Inspyr Studios: compassion, growth, and support that go beyond surface-level fixes. That’s what makes this event such a natural fit.
